Who has won the most MLS Soccer League Titles?
The league system works a little differently in MLS. Each season the team to finish the regular season with the most points is awarded a trophy known as the Supporters Shield, but the top 14 sides then advance to the playoffs. It is then the playoff winner who is declared the champion for the season and awarded the MLS Cup. As of 2019, the same side has won both the Supporters Shield and the MLS Cup on only seven occasions.
